Notifications
Control how the app tells you a new order came in: the alert sound it plays and whether it can push notifications when the app is closed. Both live under Alerts in Settings.
Where to find it: open Settings in the main menu, or go to
/settings, then scroll to the Alerts card.
Before you start
- These are set per device. Turning them on here affects this phone or tablet only.
- New remote orders play a repeating alert with sound and haptics until you respond, so a missed order is hard to sleep through.
Set your alert sound
- Open Settings and go to the Alerts card.
- Under Alert sound, tap a sound to select it. It plays straight away so you can hear your choice, and a tick marks the one that's active.
- To hear a sound without changing your choice, tap Play next to it.
Turn push notifications on or off
- In the same Alerts card, find Push notifications.
- Tap Turn on to get alerted about new orders even when the app is closed.
- Tap Turn off to stop notifications on this device.
- The line underneath tells you the current state, such as "On for this device" or "Off for this device."
Tips
- Blocked can't be fixed with the toggle. If it says notifications are blocked, you turned them off in your phone's system settings earlier. Re-enable them for the app there, then come back.
- Set it on every device. The alert sound and push toggle apply to this device only. Repeat on each phone or tablet you take orders on.
- Not available on this device? Some browsers and devices don't support push. When that's the case, the toggle won't appear and the label says it's not available.
- The order alert repeats on purpose. It keeps sounding until you respond so a busy counter doesn't miss an order.
